Groupe de recherches musicales (GRM) is a pioneering French public centre in electro-acoustic research founded by Pierre Schaeffer in 1958. It succeeded the previous "Groupe de recherche de musique concrète" (GRMC) created in 1951 which replaced the "Studio d'Essai" also founded by Pierre Schaeffer in 1944.
