The ink lines that would shape young, self-produced, singer/songwriter Hayden Calnin and his budding musical career were

Dabbling in bands through his teen years led him to add drums and piano to his repertoire, until at the age of 17 he finally
decided to give singing a go. In his early 20s a degree in film, with a major in sound design became Hayden’s entry point into
the world of music production. From here on it was only natural that Hayden would begin recording his own songs at home.
With a varied list of musical influences, including artists such as Low, The Swell Season and DeYarmond Edison and genres
ranging from 1930s rock ‘n’ roll to electronica, Hayden’s music manifests itself as honest, storytelling folk with a progressive
edge. Heartfelt vocals showcase a range that walks a steady pace from sweet, tip toeing falsettos to warm and husky lower
ranges that belt out raw, gut wrenching lyrics. His vocals dance sincerely over self-produced, folk/electro soundscapes that
feel almost other worldly. « hide |
