Headlong, formerly known as Anti-Social, was founded by Graeme and Gabriel. One summer Gabe happend to get a very nice drum set. So we're like hey lets start a band. So we did. We practiced for two days straight without a drummer. We needed a name and a drummer. So we thought up Anti-Social cause Gabe's brother didn't want to play the drums for our band and was being anti-social (comedy drum roll please). To take care of the second problem we found Jonny. We practiced for two days straight without a drummer. We needed a name and a drummer. So we thought up Anti-Social cause Gabe's brother didn't want to play the drums for our band and was being anti-social (comedy drum roll please). To take care of the second problem we found Jonny. Jonny is a kick ass drummer.
Then we got a bassist named Paul. He is a really good bassist and we have jammed with every member in our band on very few occasions. We recorded out first song, Live Wire, with a different bassist and it was sketchy because we recorded it on tape. Pretty soon Gabe got tired of the name, so he took out the handy dictionary and went to a random page and picked the first word he saw. "Headlong", not a bad name. We took it.
We hold all our practices in Gabriel's basement. In April we recorded our own song called Homeless. It has no singing because we had no mic :(. We added a new song to our set in May, bleed black by afi. We added two more originals to our set in july 06' and another cover of rise against. Right now headlong is in the process of recording and writing. Thier debut full length album is expected to be completed by early winter 06. « hide |
