Ikara Colt were a four piece art rock band originating from London Guildhall University. They formed in 1999 and disbanded in early 2005. They forged a minimalist sound with socio-political lyrics, a pulsating rhythm section and linear guitar structures. They released two albums, Chat and Business (2002) and Modern Apprentice (2004). Their sound had been described as a mix of Sonic Youth, The Fall and The Stooges.
