J.B.O. was founded in 1989 by Vito C. (Vocals / Guitar), Hannes "G.Laber" Holzmann (Vocals / Guitar), Holmer "a Bier" Graap (Drums) and
Schmitti (Bass) in Erlangen, Germany. The band is known for parodies of metal, rock and pop songs. The original name, James Blast Orchester,
had to be shortened to J.B.O. in June 1996 after James Last threatened legal action. The music style is mainly Heavy Metal and Hard Rock with
funny german lyrics, often described as Fun Metal. Schmitti and Holmer "a Bier" Graap left the band in 2000. They were replaced in 2001 by
Ralph Bach (Bass) and Wolfram Kellner (Drums). At the same time the band began to write more and more own songs.
