After Kentucky-based metal/post-hardcore band Maurice split, David Pajo and Britt Walford would realise the full potential of their math rock ideas with the legendary Slint, while Sean Garrison and Mike Bucayu would continue in a metal/crossover vein with Kinghorse. Active between 1987 and 1992, and very briefly in 1994, Kinghorse only released one studio album before disbanding, produced by Glenn Danzig no less.
