Their work is characteristised by a unique blend of syrupy, chilled-out, electronica, that forged many downtempo, dancefloor anthems of the 1990s.The duo used this to particular effect on their last major album – 'The K&D Sessions', which became highly popular in Europe and gained much critical acclaim upon release in 1998. Remixed tracks such as 'Heroes' by Roni Size, 'Bug Powder Dust' by Bomb the Bass and 'Trans Fatty Acid' by Lamb arguably became more popular than the original versions.Since 1999 the duo have unofficially been on hiatus as a pair, working in different partnerships and releasing music under alternative aliases. Most notably Kruder's solo work has been released under the 'Peace Orchestra' moniker, while Dorfmeister has continued working with composer Rupert Huber on their long-term project, 'Tosca'. « hide |
