Laika is a 6 piece melodic death metal band. Combining the modern metal
feeling from the new wave of North American metal with European influences
such as Children of Bodom, Amon Amarth and Kalmah. With inspirations from
both classical music and folk metal; Laika delivers a truly surreal sound
experience. Originally started as a group of friends with different musical
backgrounds. Each member brings something completely personal and
unique to the writing process. As childhood friends, the members work
together flawlessly to bring the otherwise opposing styles to fluid harmony
that showcases each members talent. Laika is undoubtedly going to smash
through the local scene and set itself apart.
