andkeyboards), Andrei Bobiş (guitars), Andrei Sîncrăian (guitars) & Oana Pop (drums), the band made its debut in the local
Cluj-Napoca scene in the northern reaches of Romania in late April that same year. Several months later, in November, Lights
Outrecorded their first demo, a song called "Inside Out", that marked their first breakthrough as young musicians: the band

Later on the band focused on developing a solid setlist, tightening and continuously refining their sound. Positive
feedbackcame in no time: Lights Out! have been invited on numerous occasions to play alongside well-known bands from the
Romaniannew wave of alternative rock music scene, such as Grimus, The MOOoD, The Mono Jacks, Omul cu şobolani, The
Amsterdamor Snails, at various festivals and gigs.
The beginning of 2012 saw Lights Out! releasing 'EOD', the lead single from their first discographic effort, called
"Patience".Halfway through March the Romanian music blog Babylon Noise chose the young band to represent Romania in the
MusicAlliance Pact with "Origin", a song from the same disc.
On the 7th of April, the band released "Patience". Their debut EP was marked by a launch gig at the Paintbrush Factory
inCluj-Napoca. Lights Out's first music video, 'Mirror', the fifth track off Patience, was released online on the 2nd of July.
Thevideo, shot and edited by Sebastian Florea, was reused for the RØDE Rocks competition, an international band contest.
LightsOut finished third, in front of over 500 bands from 40 countries across the globe. « hide |
