Lord Tariq and Peter Gunz was a short lived hip duo from The Bronx, NYC. Formed in 1996, the duo is probably most remembered
for their 1998 smash hit single "Deja Vu (Uptown Baby)", which reached number 9 on the Billboard Top 200 charts, and soon
went platinum. The huge success of the single helped propel their 1998 debut album, "Make It Reign", to staggering sales, with
the album also going platinum. Despite their instant success, however, Lord Tariq and Peter Gunz decided to part ways in 1999.
Peter Gunz's son, Cory Gunz, is a well known young rapper in his own right, and is currently signed to Cash Money Records.
