Los Piratas was a Spanish rock band from Vigo, founded in 1991. They were considered one of the most influential bands in the Spanish pop and rock scene. They edited five LP's (one of them raised Gold Disc), two live albums, three compilations y four albums of rarities. Los Piratas were dissolved in 2004.
Some of their principal influences are Björk, Aphex Twin, Los Planetas, Radiohead, Oasis and Spanish pop-rock in '80. The band were as much on mainstream scene as independent panorama, and they evolved from pop-rock music until electronica efforts with a notorious musical mature. Basically their lyrics spoke about relationships, frustated love and upcoming affairs; subsequently they turned into darker and deeper matters.
