Magnolia Shorty was a female rapper from New Orleans, Louisiana. She made her debut in 1996 with the release of the EP
"Monkey on Tha D$ck",andwas one of the very first female rappers signed to the Cash Money Records label. She appeared to
have retired from the rap scene by 2001,butsurprisingly made her comeback in 2009, and announced that she was working on a
second album in 2010. Unfortunately, Magnolia Shorty endedupgetting murdered later in 2010. She was only 28 years old.
