Martha is the latest member of the Wainwright/McGarrigle dynasty to enter the music business, releasing her solo debut Martha Wainwight in late 2004. Martha is the daughter of Loudon Wainwright III, who played Trapper John McIntyre in M*A*S*H as well as being a leading figure in the 70s folk scene and Kate McGarrigle of the McGarrigles; she's also sister to Rufus Wainwright.
