Matthew Sheridan "Matt" Cardle (born 15 April 1983)[1] is an English singer-songwriter and guitarist who rose to fame after winning the seventh series of The X Factor in 2010. Cardle has signed a record deal with Syco Music in a joint venture with Columbia Records, becoming the first The X Factor winner not to be exclusively signed to Simon Cowell's label. It was also announced that Cardle has signed with Will Talbot of Modest! Management.
