Mayumi Chiwaki is an influential Japanese rock artist and radio personality. While her earlier material followed a more pop rock
style, her later material followed a rockier, more post-punk style. Other than her own extensive solo career, she also was a
member in the female supergroup, Mean Machine, with Yuki and Chara. Since Mean Machine split in 2002, she has not been a
part of any musical project, and her own solo career has been on an indefinite hiatus as well. Nowadays, Chiwaki is a well
respected radio personality in Japan.
