Mi-Ke was a Japanese idol-pop trio that formed in 1990. The trio debuted with the single, "Omoide no Kujuukurihama", which
was a surprise hit. The single managed to reach number 5 on the Oricon charts, and the trio were soon acclaimed for their
unique style, which often borrowed from old-fashioned pop music from all over the world. However, despite Mi-Ke's
creativeness, sales soon started to slip for the promising trio, and Mi-Ke ended up splitting by early 1994. The main frontwoman
of Mi-Ke, Keiko Utoku, would go on to embark on a relatively successful solo career.
