Michiya Mihashi was a legendary Japanese enka/min'yo musician. He was known for popularizing enka and min'yo to a wide
Japanese audience, along with other artists like Hideo Murata, Hachiro Kasuga and Hibari Mosora. In January of 1996, Mihashi
passed away from multiple organ failure at the age of 65. He remains one of the most legendary figures in Japanese folk music,
especially in enka and min'yo.
