Lightneing quick sledgehammer banjo stylings and flame throwing violin mayhem form the backdrop of Mountain Animation. The Brooklyn based power duo is composed of Zack Orion (vocals, banjo, foot drums) and Scott Murphy (violin, electrified violin, fiddle, back up vocals). They met in February of 2012 and recorded the album “Higgs Boson,” which is a mix of their classical and mountain music backgrounds filtered through the rock and roll format. Zack Orion’s multi-instrumental talents, strong poetic lyrics, and emotional and haunting vocals paired with Scott Murphy’s deeply felt high-energy violin riffs make up their original and inspired sound.
