New Edition is a breakthrough pop/R&B group from Boston, Massachusetts. Formed in 1979, New Edition eventually became one of the most
popular musical acts of the 1980's, and are widely considered to be precursors to the boyband craze which would peak at popularity by the late
1990's. New Edition initially split in 1990, but reunited temporarily from 1996 until 1997. The group then reunited in 2002, and have performed
quite regularly ever since.
