Peter Ivers was born on 20 September 1946 in Boston, MA. He released three albums in three different genres: Knight
ofthe Blue Communion (experimental), Terminal Love (singer/songwriter), and Peter Ivers (glam rock). He was also
thehost of the 1980s TV show New Wave Theatre, which was shown as part of the USA Network’s Nightflight. He is
probablybest known for writing “In Heaven (Lady in the Radiator Song)” from the David Lynch film Eraserhead. Peter
Ivers careerwas cut short when he was found bludgeoned to death in his Los Angeles loft on 3 March 1983. The murder
was neversolved.
