Petty Booka is a Japanese Hawaiian-pop duo that formed in 1995. Formed by Satomi Asano and Miyuki Matsubara after the
disbandment of the garage punk band The Flamenco a Go Go, the two formed Petty Booka immediately afterwards, thus
representing a sharp 180-degree turn in their careers. The duo experienced massive underground popularity, although in 1999,
both Asano and Matsubara left Petty Booka, and the two were soon replaced. Petty Booka are still active today, and remain
one of the most popular and longest-running acts on the Benten label.
