Pressure Points is a progressive death metal band from Finland. They started up as a jam-based project between drummer Vili
Auvinen and singer/guitarist Kari Olli. The band has frequently been compared to Opeth, due to their evident link to 70's
progressive rock ala Rush, Camel and Pink Floyd. Arguably the sound is distinctive when listened closer to, especially since
Pressure Points continue to base their creative output on jamming to a larger extent than most death metal bands. On their
second album - False Lights - the band matured a lot and showcased a more compact, focused and slightly more melancholic
vibe. Pressure Points should appeal to fans of Opeth, In Mourning, Barren Earth, Morost, Alley, In Vain or Another Perfect Day.
