Prophets of Doom was a heavy/speed/thrash metal band from Denmark. Initially formed as Prophecy in 1984, they renamed in 1987 and released one studio album in 1989. In 1990 they renamed once again to Northern Empire and pursued a sound more in line with progressive metal.
