"Realicide, the collective band and publications label of the same name, is our endorsement of anti-hypothetical change, anti-narcissistic agenda, progressive anti-escapism, art as a catalyst for dialogue and interaction, art as a byproduct of a life lived, ethically sober compassion and self-sacrifice as an expression of love, against the hell of human institutions and wants." Realicide, a DIY group hailing from Cincinnati, first formed in 2002. The original line-up consisted of three man wrecking crew Robert Inhuman, Mavis Concave, and Jim Swill (All members equally sharing equipment roles, although Robert Inhuman is the main vocalist). However, after releasing their first studio album “Resisting The Viral Self” Mavis had quit to begin his own ventures. The group has trans-versed many genres in the time they have been together (break-core, noise, spoken word, industrial,) and most notably, gabber. However, the group self labeled itself as “nomadic socio-political contemporary hardcore.” They strive to promote the punk view of life, and mostly go about music in the form of playing shows, occasionally recording one. When the group finally decided to make a studio album, they were equally praised for this effort as their shows. Even reaching out of the underground scene to gain a starring review in the September 2008 Spin Magazine. Several free albums are available on the band's website as shown by this link. http://realicide.fromthegut.org/1crew.htm « hide
