Red Abyss were a hard rock group from England that first formed in 1989. It was formed by ex-members of the underground new
wave band Cat Genetica, and was a notable change in sound and image for the founding members. Red Abyss ended up
dissolving in 1994, and the remaining members of Red Abyss then went on to form the controversial all-female gothic metal
group Rockbitch in 1995.
