Russian Ballet Dan was an obscure underground Japanese avant-garde band. Formed in 1983, the group was soon signed to the
cult underground avant-garde label Nagomu, but by 1986, became one of the most obscure and unknown acts on the label.
Nonetheless, Russia Ballet Dan were definitely unique for their quirky stage shows and utmost disturbing style which took
influences from gothic, post-punk, psychedelic and folk rock. Russia Ballet Dan appeared to have disbanded by 1989.
