Scoparia is a five-piece progressive metal band that is
heavily influenced by bands with diverse and expansive
soundscapes including Opeth,Leprous and Karnivool.
The sound of the band’s music is primarily based on
death metal riffs, infused with clean singing and
melancholic andambient acoustic interludes.
Following several early member changes, the band has
been active in its current lineup since late 2013, playing a
range of gigs throughoutTasmania with bands such as
Melbourne bands Whoretopsy and Headless, as well as
popular local acts such as Taberah,
Mephistopheles,Infernal Outcry and Randomorder.
