William "Shooby" Taylor, also known as the Human Horn, was a jazz vocalist from Indiana Township, PA. Born in 1929, Shooby spent most of
his life trying to make it big in New York as a scat singer, which was fruitless in terms of monetary success. After a 1994 stroke left him unable
to sing, Shooby stopped performing and singing. He passed away June 4, 2003. While far from a household name, he has grown a sizable
following in the years before and after his death.
