Skullflower are a British band fronted by Matthew Bower that have been around since about 1988 with a frequently fluctuatingline-up. From 1988-1998 Skullflower's core lineup was Matthew Bower on guitar and Stuart Dennison on drums and vocals, withvarious session members playing bass and other instruments (notably as Gary Mundy of Ramleh playing lead guitar on theirearly releases). Their style during this phase was mostly lengthy jams with heavy bass and psychedelic-sounding guitars.Skullflower had officially split up in 1998, but reformed around 2002 briefly continuing their original style. Since then they'vedropped the percussion and vocals and released a string of noise/drone releases.
