Softball were an all-female garage punk band from Japan. Formed in 1998, the group members were still in high school, and
began their quick rise to indies fame. Within one year, the group became so well known, that they signed to the American label,
Asian Man Records. The group would also play overseas numerous times throughout their time together as a band. However,
Softball officially split in 2003, after only five years together. Frontwoman Moe would go on to form another punk band,
Akiakane, which has been on a hiatus since 2009.
