Splashdown was an alternative rock band from Massachusetts that first formed in 1995. In 1996, the group independently released their first album “Stars and Garters”, and later became a major act in late 1998 when they signed to Capitol Records. Splashdown made their major debut in early 1999 with the release of the “Redshift” EP, and were supposed to release their second full length album, “Blueshift”, later that year. However, the album suffered numerous setbacks, and Splashdown ended up splitting in 2001, leaving the album to never be officially released.
