Founded by Alan Bishop (of Sun City Girls) and Hisham Mayet, Sublime Frequencies is a Seattle-based record label that focuses on unearthing
obscuremusic from around the far reaches of the world, most noticeably Africa and Asia. Its output is hugely limited - usually only 1000 copies of each
recordare pressed - and ranges from field recordings to radio transmissions, yet never pigeonholing itself stylistically.
