Sugarsmack was an alternative rock group from North Carolina that first formed in 1991. It was formed by vocalist Hope Nicholls soon after she
departed from the cult underground group Fetchin Bones. Similarly to Fetchin Bones, Sugarsmack earned a strong cult following for their eclectic
sound which had more of an industrial influence than Fetchin Bones. The group ended up disbanding in 1999, however, after only releasing two
singles, an EP and two full length albums.
