Superdope

Superdope was a stoner-metal band active on the Italian music scene in the late 90s. They were among the pioneers of this genre in Italy, and their music was influenced by bands such as Kyuss and Fu Manchu. The band was formed in Genoa (Liguria) and included elements of hardcore punk, psychedelia, 70s hard rock and alternative rock in their music. Despite being active for only a few years, the band played several intense and energetic live shows, including one at the historic venue of Bloom in Mezzago. Superdope released two demos during their time together. The first one, Wreck (1997), was characterized by raw and heavy riffs. The second one, Saturn Trip (1998), showcased the band's more experimental side, with spacey atmospheres and psychedelic elements.
