Tears of Requiem is a 5 piece melodic death metal band from Philadelphia, PA. Originally formed as a side project of several highschool students enrolled in a music class together, the band has grown enough in its following to enjoy modest success, having taking the stage alongside; I, The Breather, Upon a Burning Body, Palisades, My Bitter End, Volumes and Veil of Maya. Tears of Requiem is a 5 piece melodic death metal band from Philadelphia, PA. Originally formed as a side project of several highschool students enrolled in a music class together, the band has grown enough in its following to enjoy modest success, having taking the stage alongside; I, The Breather, Upon a Burning Body, Palisades, My Bitter End, Volumes and Veil of Maya. They play a brand of metal heavily influenced by Trivium, featuring accessible guitars, churning drums, and head-bobbing breakdowns, coupled with occasional bursts of blistering technicality, but also take queues from the thrash giants of old, with Metallica, Slayer and Pantera evident in their sound. To date they have released an eponymous EP and have an LP in the works. There first full length is due to be recorded in the mists of summer(2013). Release Date is not yet established.
