Dallas’ Buzz-Oven’s discovery of the music took the group to a new high. Including two songs on a distribution compilation CD. As popular interest increases The Alexander performs at Virgin Records Megastore, at Mockingbird Station, in Dallas on March 2, 2005. After, popping Virgin’s cherry, The Alexander were begged to play one more time. Buzz-Oven, wanting to make the show bigger than before made a request for other bands to open for the group. The Alexander; however had an idea of their own.
September 26, 2005 comes around and everyone is talking about what will be in store tonight for the Virgin audience. With most opening bands developing little attention, tension soon builds as we witness black sheets being removed. The Alexander plays an acoustic set for the Buzz-Oven 15 CD release, using an upright bass, acoustic guitars, percussion instruments (including a glockenspiel) and a harmonica. A deep show, moving people to levels of phases in music one is virgin too. Witnessing the precision unit flowing from songs, tuning as a whole, using bows to reverberate a synchronicity of precision.
Unfortunately, the band is separated, at this current point in time. After moving to New York in pursuit of musical endeavors, The Alexander lost a member a became the NEW TEXAS TRIO, a rock/country/soul group in Queens, NY. « hide |
