The New Collisions are not shy about their New Wave influences. What’s truly surprising, however, is that the calibur of the band’s songs exceeds some of the genre’s originators. It made our jobs that much more demanding when—during the design process for Invisible Embraces—we were challenged to distill New Wave into its essential components. The outcome is a magenta-infused package possessing all of the brightness and shine of the band’s debut EP.
