The Youth are an influential rock band from the Philippines. Originally formed in 1989 under the alias of Boyish Day, the groupsoon endured a lineup
change, and changed its alias to The Youth in 1990. Originally, the group had a gothic post-punk sound,which sounded similar to the likes of The Cure,
although the group soon changed its style to their acclaimed alternative-punkstyle, which essentially abandoned their earlier gloomy style. In 1994,

platinum. By 1995, The Youth earneda reputation for their rabid fanbase who often attended their concerts in a rowdy, riot-like style. Despite The
Youth'shumongous wave of fame, they ended disbanding by 1998, although they had sporadic reunions for a few years afterward. In2004, The Youth
officially reunited, and, in 2012, released their fourth full length album, "Pirata", which was their first releasesince 1997's "Tao Po". The album was
