Tonton Macoute was a progressive jazz/rock band formed in the UK in 1971 from the remaining 4 musicians of the band Windmill after the death of lead singer/guitarist Dick Scott in a road accident whilst on tour. Members consisted of Paul French (keyboards), Dave Knowles (vocals/saxophone/clarinet/flute), Chris Gavin (guitar and bass) and Nigel Reveler (drums/percussion).
Another band signed by Neon (sub-label of RCA records) along with the likes of Indian Summer and Spring as an attempt to expand on the progressive side of rock music. Unfortunately the expansion never happened
