Trotsky Icepick

Trotsky Icepick was an underground alternative rock/post-punk band from Los Angeles. First formed in 1983 as Danny & the Doorknobs, the group ended up changing their name to Trotsky Icepick in 1986, and were active under this name until their disbandment in 1995. Although not too successful during their initial run, the group have since earned a strong cult following for their unique sound that blended elements of post-punk, indie rock, gothic rock and new wave. This new-founded cult status convinced Trotsky Icepick to reunite for a few lives in 2011.
