Twa-Zay was a female hip hop duo from Compton, California. Originally formed in 1991 as Menajahtwa, the duo ended up changing their alias to Twa-Zay in late 1997. Along with the name change, the duo's sound changed completely as well. While Menajahtwa had a strong street-smart gangsta sound to it, Twa-Zay was much lighter and simpler in sound, focusing much more on bounce rap than on gangsta rap. As Twa-Zay, the duo released one single and one album, 1998's "Who'z Party?", which was an underground flop, presumably due to the duo's heavy image and sound change, and Twa-Zay/Menajahtwa ended up disbanding in 1999.
