Formed in the summer of 2016, You Rest, You Joy Life has transported themselves beyond the bounds of genre to become a band that is equal parts musically unique and lyrically cathartic, while staying true to themselves and their influences. Drawing from the likes of explosive indie rock and emotionally-charged punk rock with enough pop sensibility to please everyone’s eardrums, You Rest, You Joy Life seeks to make a name for themselves amongst their Detroit contemporaries and the greater music community, all the while sharing their love of creating and performing with the world.
