Electronica duo Zero 7 is composed of British producers Henry Binns and Sam Hardaker. Though throughout the early days of their career in the 1990s they worked behind the scenes for other artists (including Pet Shop Boys and Robert Plant), they began formulating their own musical ideas. They began by releasing remixes of other artists' songs, and by 1999 had released their own EP, the aptly-titled EP. EP2 followed, succeeded by their first full-length Simple Things in 2001 and sophomore effort When It Falls in 2004. Zero 7's music often has a very laid-back, airy, jazzy feel, credited to thoughtful samples and beneficial collaborations.
