Known as the guitarist for San Francisco based rock band, Film School, Nyles Lannon has made two solo releases. He first released Astronomy for Children (under the name n.Ln), an electronic journey through the mind of Nyles and his laptop. In 2005, he released the more highly recognized Chemical Friends, an album combining his prior electronic influence with acoustic fingerstyle guitar and alt rock infuence. Listeners have compared listening to Chemical Friends with the first time listening to the work of Sufjan Stevens, Simon and Garfunkel, and Elliot Smith.
