So I managed to snag a reviewing position at the website, the AU Review.
Not paid but hey, free albums and tickets are pretty awesome. I'd love to
get some feedback on my writing and plug some pretty awesome albums.
So here they are... | 1 | | Nikko Gold and Red
An albums worth of powerful country-influenced ballads, both lyrically and
instrumentally. I normally loathe country music but these guys' country influence is
so well done and interwoven with rock. AOTY for me, so far. About the Spirit is the
highlight of the album

A post-metal trio, the band's sound is heavily based on rhythm with quite an
amazing drummer. Each instrument is given enough room to shine and the
songwriting is immense, not to mention the variance of tone from each instrument
across the album.

Folk influenced pop, with diverse, crazy instrumentation that's all held together by
Beth's voice. Really quite a surprise for me, the madcap inventiveness really
makes this album.
