Underrated WW II Films

List could be quite huge but im staying at 6.
1Dio
Holy Diver

Hell Is For Heroes. The King of Cool at his finest. McQueen shines as the lone, gritty badass. Features one of the manliest endings of all time. Also starring the formidable James Coburn.
2Dio
Holy Diver

Destination Tokyo. One of the most charming movies of all time. And the most charming war propaganda film of all time starring the one and only Cary Grant. Makes you want to join the navy, makes you love America and hate the Japanese.
3Dio
Holy Diver

Heroes of Telemark. A lady-killing Kirk Douglas kicking kraut ass in Norway. Need I say more?
4Dio
Holy Diver

Battle of the Bulge. A deeply flawed and often inaccurate but fun movie that is carried by a great supporting ensemble cast. You got Charles Bronson, Telly Savalas, Robert Ryan and the terrific lead performances from Robert Shaw and Henry Fonda.
5Conqueror
War Cult Supremacy

Kelly's Heroes. The most comedic and fun filled of the movies listed. Features Clint Eastwood, Donald Sutherland and Telly Savalas at their best. Features the most rediculous ending of all time.
6Occult Crypt
Exterminate

Overlord. The most artistic and serious movie of the list. Downright unsettling to watch and deeply pessimistic. A beautifully shot film that incoporates real war footage into it's depressive subject of a young man heading straight into D-Day knowing he's going to die.
