Top 10 Albums: Feb. 2008
These are the albums I'm diggin in Feb. of 2008. |
1 | | Robert Plant & Alison Krauss Raising Sand
This gem is my first real exposure to miss Krauss. Her voice is borderline heavenly and Robert Plant compliments her well. Granted some of the songs do sound the same its still worth a listen. |
2 | | Tom Waits Rain Dogs
This is my first time really listening to Tom Waits. His lyrics are great and you can feel the emotion in every song. |
3 | | Great Lake Swimmers Ongiara
Its a very good relaxing album. |
4 | | Loretta Lynn Van Lear Rose
I originally listened to this because of Jack White's production. Then a few tracks into it I fell in love with the old gal. Little red shoes is great, you get a feeling of where her music came from. |
5 | | Tom Waits Real Gone
Theres a lot of funky cool sounds on this one. The Day After Tomorrow is my favorite song. |
6 | | Wilco Being There
Being There is Wilco's second album. Their country/alternative/rock stylings mesh perfectly. |
7 | | Wilco Sky Blue Sky
A lot of folks don't enjoy Wilco's latest efforts. I disagree. This album is superb and I've been listening to it for months now. |
8 | | The National Boxer
Amazing. |
9 | | The Go! Team Thunder, Lightning, Strike
Not many lyrics on this one but the music is choice. Upbeat dance schtuff. I find myself dancing around my room minutes after starting the album without even realizing. |
10 | | M. Ward Post-War
I love his songwriting. I picked this little diddy up when I heard he was recording an album with Zooey Deschanel. I see a lot of his albums being listed in the future. |
