My Top 10 Doors Songs

My 10 favorite Doors songs. They have been one of my favorite bands for about two years now and god are they amazing.
1The Doors
The End

A lot of people say this is the best Doors song, and none of them are lying. This is a masterpiece of psychedelia, raga, and poetry. The raga guitar riff, the middle-eastern keyboards, the loose drumming, and Morrison's poetry all bond together with such power and feel. Their greatest song, hands down.
2The WASP (Texas Radio and the Big Beat)

A masterpiece of blues and poetry. It is basically spoken word but the instrumentation is actually very good. Morrison's lyrics are mystical and incredible. One of the greatest songs ever.
3When the Music's Over

One of the most interesting Doors songs. Full of weird poetry and loose instrumentation, one of the most definitive Doors songs.
4Spanish Caravan

A really underrated song. The Hollywood Bowl version is the best but the album version is great too. Very hypnotic and dynamic.
5Waiting for the Sun

I don't know what it is about this song, it is just amazing. The instrumentation though, especially the keyboards, are the best part. One of the best songs off of Morrison Hotel.
6The Soft Parade

One of the epic Doors songs. Very well rounded and dynamic. It evokes melancholy and fear in the first minute and then it just goes all over the place from psychedelic pop, to jazz, and finally to blues-rock. Great song.
7The Crystal Ship

One of the best rock ballads ever. This song evokes a certain feeling that I can't quite describe.
8Strange Days

A really hypnotic song. A perfect and exciting opener.
9Land Ho!

A great blues song. Cool lyrics and great instrumentation.
10Summer's Almost Gone

Never understood why so many people dislike this song and the rest of the LP in general. It is very mellow and melodic, a bit different for the Doors but still great. Morrison's voice is the best part.
