Athom 03.10.14	I never really ran into that problem when I was a kid. I must say now that I'm older I certainly enjoy 21+ shows a lot more than all ages shows unless it's a DIY show and I rarely drink at concerts. It's more a an overall vibe thing.

Funeralopolis 03.10.14	But seriously though, I never ran into concerts not letting you for being under 19 that is kind of dumb, any concerts I have been to separate the bar in a area away from the concert and you can't get in that area unless you're 19. They're just missing out on ticket sales by pulling this.

emester 03.10.14	17 havent been to much shows since im so hard pressed with school and SATs/ACTs as well as college visits. I did see clutch and rush last year though

TheSupernatural 03.10.14	I considered fake ID but I'm too busy with college to spend that kind of time pursuing something that probably won't go anywhere. And I really like these bands but they aren't Thrice or Glassjaw. I'd kill for those shows.
BMDrummer 03.10.14	I got to see Rush and The Offspring with my dad once and both shows were amazing.

bach 03.10.14	this sucks dude. I wanted to see death grips last year and couldn't except it was 18+ only and I was 16 turning 17 at the time. always sucks when you can't go to a show because you're not allowed to lol

BMDrummer 03.10.14	Rush mostly played their latest stuff which made it a pretty loud show. They played Red Sector A though and that was probably my favorite moment of the show.
TheSupernatural 03.10.14	At least I got The Story So Far coming to my college next week. I'll be attending that show. Only they probably won't allow moshing.

It is illegal to consume alcohol if you are under 21 and it is illegal for bars to allow you on their premises if you are under 21 in most cases. Fun fact is that it's actually a state law, but in all 50 states. This is because the federal government will stop funding road building and maintenance in states where the drinking age is below 21. Fuck the American government
SpiritCrusher2 03.10.14	yea, I was aware of your drinking age restriction, I just thought this was maybe something more concert-related, like the band is too extreme or something lol. drinking age in my country (Croatia) is 18, but bars usually don't give a fuck about it, because police doesn't give a fuck about it, and because our country is fucked up generally. this has some obvious positive sides if you're underage lol, but the more older I get, the more I get annoyed and disgusted by seeing 15-year olds getting drunk and doing shit in some bars/clubs
TheSupernatural 03.10.14	Nah here there are plenty of all-ages metal shows. And generally the more popular bands get the bigger, all-ages venues. It's the lesser known bands (or singer-songerwriters, frequently) that end up getting booked at bars/nightclubs. It sucks when you've been waiting years to see a band and they finally come to town, only to play at a show that you can't go to
