This Month's 13 Most Played Songs

Just a list of songs i've been listening to like crazy this month. If you can come up with a recommendation from the list feel free man/dude/women/Hobbit whatever yous is.
1Schoolyard Heroes
Contra

It has a neat flow throughout the song. Almost restrained if that makes sense.
2Fireworks
The Back Window's Down

The drumming man, the pattern seems to be used a lot with this band but I can't
seem to get enough of it haha.
3Enter Shikari
Radiate

I think it's the lyrics. I've always enjoyed the more I guess politically focused side
of lyricism. It's a nice break from the more emotionally charged stuff like in Under
the Boards by Saves the Day. Man, what a bummer. Still, a great track from a
great band.
4Alesana
Deja Vu All Over Again

It's a welcomed change of pace from the band. One that i'd have no problem seeing
from the band in the coming years. It's not the most interesting thing until the
chorus comes in. Poppy I guess is what you'd call it. So catchy.
5Periphery
Feed the Ground

I know man, that damn Periphery haha. I enjoy them and their new EP is interesting
and not all too bad. Granted I only listen to this and "The Parade of Ashes"
regularly. The other songs not so much. The crunchy guitars at the end of each
chorus gets my head bobbin every time. I love the chorus as well.
6Real Estate
Primitive

This album, relaxing as hell. This song is one of my favorites from Atlas. The guitar
played in the left channel in the beginning and throughout never seems to get old.
7Comeback Kid
Wasted Arrows

My personal favorite from Die Knowing. The guitars in the song remind me of a more
subdued version of "Do Yourself a Favour." You know the head banging part in that
song? I don't know, it's a great energetic fun song.
8The War on Drugs
Eyes to the Wind

Another song on this list that's relaxing as hell. It's an essential part of my Midnight
Walk playlist. The sax solo at the end gets me every time. I hope this song inspires
more artists to feature more sax in their songs. "Saxamaphooone saxamaphoooone."
9Jack's Mannequin
Suicide Blonde

The chorus haha. That chorus is oh so good man. The la la la's are a good addition
as well. I couldn't get into any other songs off this cd though, shame.
10The 1975
Heart Out

The drumming on this song is gooood. Might not be anything special but it's set a
good nice pace. I've always liked the lyricism in this band. It's blunt and almost
careless. Reminds me of Max Bemis, not as good mind you but good nonetheless.
11Modern Baseball
Fine, Great

It' a catchy pop-punkish song. More pop mind you but, the lyrics are also a big sell
for me. "I hate worrying about the future cause all my fucking problems are based
on the past." It's a straightforward song, if you like Say Anything or Saves the Day
chances are is that you'll like this.
12Like Moths to Flames
Deathmarks

Yet again, the chorus haha. The drumming during the chorus, simple but so good.
And the neat use of the word "Fuck" is a definite upside. It'll probably be a turn off
for the hardcore Bane goers but it's metal-core I suppose.
13Animal Kingdom
Strange Attractor

This is a super laid back song with a pop chorus. One that never ceases to interest
me. The light use of what i'll simply call a keyboard works really well to my ears. I
guess the guitars too, but the little ol keyboard line in the chorus is always singled
out in my ears.
